During her career, Layne always had a committed approach to her fitness - nothing has changed. Now with a busy coprporate lifestyle of motivational speaking and celebrity appearances and a little less time for surfing, she works with Christian to stay surf fit.
"I have used the Fit4sport Training Studio on the Northern Beaches of Sydney when I am at home to improve my surf specific fitness. Christian uses balance and strength exercises to improve my surfing performance."
Like most world class athletes, WCT surfer Kai Otton has a strong commitment to his fitness and has increased his training over the last few years.
"When I am at home, it is a time for me to relax a little and get away from the tour. I have time to re-focus get some fun uncrowded waves, but also I can concentrate on my training." - says Kai.
"I have used the strength and balance programs from Christian. His programs have definitely complemented my other training and I have found that the balance work especially has helped with my surfing."
